Norilsk Nickel, the world’s largest nickel and palladium miner, said on Monday lower metal prices pushed first-half profit down sharply, but the results beat analyst forecasts. Russian mining major Norilsk Nickel confirmed on Wednesday that it was reviewing its African assets, but rejected speculation that it was looking to terminate its involvement on the continent.
