Greek and Roman coins ‘still available at auctions’

Gold coins minted before the birth of Jesus are still available to purchase, it has been claimed.
Writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, James Cockington notes that discs from the Greek, Roman and Byzantine periods were on offer at an auction held in Sydney earlier this year.
